It's important to understand that accessing network security data requires either administrator rights on the device itself or physical access to the router. In this article, we'll detail the steps to take in each specific case so you can quickly restore your connection.
⚠️ Note: Router and operating system interfaces are updated regularly. If the menu items described here differ from yours, look for similar names or refer to the official documentation from your device manufacturer.
Viewing your password through Android settings
Owners of smartphones based on Android 10 and newer devices can use the built-in view saved networks feature. This feature not only allows you to connect other devices via QR code but also view the password itself in plain text.

Users of technology Apple We've been able to view Wi-Fi network passwords since iOS 16. If your phone is updated to the latest version, the process will only take a few seconds.
Go to Settings and select Wi-Fi. Find your provider's network in the list. ByFlyYou want to find out the access key for the network. Click the blue information icon (the letter "i" in a circle) to the right of the network name.

What to do if iOS is old?
If you have an iPhone with an older version of iOS, the only way is to access the router settings through the Safari browser or use a computer connected to the same network to access the router's web interface.
Password syncing via iCloud Keychain allows you to see saved networks across all your Apple devices. If a password was saved on an iPad or Mac, it will automatically appear on your iPhone when you sign in with the same Apple ID.
Logging into the ByFly router web interface
The most universal method that works for any phone and any router model (ZTE, Huawei, TP-Link), is the entrance to the device's control panel. To do this, the phone must be connected to the router's Wi-Fi network, even if there is no internet connection.
Open a browser on your phone (Chrome, Safari, Yandex) and enter the router's IP address in the address bar. Standard addresses for Beltelecom equipment: 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.100.1The exact address is often indicated on a sticker on the bottom of the device.
After entering the address, the system will ask for a login and password to access the settings. By default, the equipment ByFly pairs are often used:
- 👤 Login:
admin/ Password:admin - 👤 Login:
admin/ Password:1234 - 👤 Login:
user/ Password:user
☑️ Checking access to the router
If the default data doesn't work, it may have been changed during initial setup by the wizard. In this case, try finding the data on the sticker underneath the device, which sometimes contains a unique password for accessing the web interface.
Finding the password in the WLAN or Wireless section
After successfully logging into the router's management system, you need to find the section responsible for the wireless network. Depending on the firmware, it may be called WLAN, Wireless, Wi-Fi or Wireless network.
Within this section, look for the "Security" subsection (Security) or "WLAN Settings". This is where the field is located. WPA PreSharedKey or "Passphrase." This field displays the current password for your network.
There's often a "Show Password" checkbox next to the password entry field. If there's no such checkbox, you can simply erase the asterisks to reveal the characters, or replace them with your own and click "Apply" or "Save."
| Router model | Path to the menu | Field name |
|---|---|---|
| ZTE F660 | Network -> WLAN -> Security | WPA Passphrase |
| Huawei HG8245 | WLAN -> WLAN Basic Configuration | WPA PreSharedKey |
| TP-Link | Wireless -> Wireless Security | Wireless Password |
| Sercomm | Setup -> Wireless Setup | Pre-Shared Key |
Please note that some firmware versions require a device reboot to take effect. Be sure to save your settings before exiting to avoid losing any changes.
Using the ByFly Wi-Fi app
Operator Beltelecom developed a dedicated mobile app, "ByFly Wi-Fi" (or "My ByFly"), which allows you to manage your home internet services and settings. This is one of the easiest ways for the provider's subscribers.
Download the app from Google Play or App Store and log in using your account number or phone number linked to your contract. Your personal account often displays information about your current plan and basic settings.
Some versions of the app offer the ability to view or change your Wi-Fi password if your router supports the remote management protocol (TR-069). If this feature isn't available in the app, use it to quickly access the web interface.
⚠️ Please note: App functionality may vary depending on your router model and connection type. Not all devices support remote management via the operator's cloud.
The advantage of the official app is that you don't need to remember the router's IP address or standard administrator passwords, as authorization occurs through your subscriber account.
What to do if the password has been changed and is unknown
If none of the above methods help, and you can't access the router settings (the administrator password has been changed and forgotten), the last radical method remains - a factory reset.
There is a small hole on the back of the router that says Reset or DefaultTake a paperclip or toothpick, press the button inside the hole and hold it for about 10-15 seconds until the indicators on the case flash simultaneously.
After this procedure, the router will return to its out-of-the-box state. The Wi-Fi password will be the one indicated on the sticker on the bottom of the device. The login and password for entering the settings will also be default (usually admin/admin).
- 🔄 Find the Reset button on the router body.
- 🔄 Press and hold for 15 seconds with a paper clip.
- 🔄 Wait for the device to reboot.
- 🔄 Connect using the password from the sticker.
Consequences of a factory reset
After resetting, the router may stop seeing the internet if your ISP uses PPPoE connection. In this case, you'll need to re-enter the username and password from your contract into the router settings.
Use this method only if other options have been exhausted.
Is it possible to find out the password without connecting to the network?
Without a network connection (via Wi-Fi or LAN cable), the only way to find out the password is by looking at the sticker on the bottom of the router, assuming it has never been changed. For security reasons, it's impossible to obtain the password for someone else's network or your own using third-party apps on your phone without being connected.
Where can I find my Beltelecom login and password?
The authorization details (PPPoE login and password) are included in your service agreement. They can also be found in your subscriber account on the operator's website or by calling customer support at 05055.
Why does the phone say "saved" but won't connect?
This could mean the password was entered incorrectly, or MAC address filtering is enabled on the router. The issue could also be due to incompatible encryption standards (for example, the phone doesn't support WPA3, but the router is configured to support it only).
Are Wi-Fi hacking apps safe to use?
Apps that promise to "hack" your neighbors' Wi-Fi are most often scams or contain viruses. They can't magically crack a strong password. Use only official methods to restore access to your network.
