Losing access to your home network is more common than you might think. You may have forgotten the complex password you set when you first set up your equipment, or a new tenant may have changed your access keys without informing you. Sometimes, router software errors can cause a blockage, requiring a full reset to factory settings. In any of these cases, a forced reset of your security settings is the only reliable solution.
Procedure for restoring access to Wi-Fi networks This doesn't require extensive networking knowledge, but it does require attention and precision. The operation affects not only the encryption key but also all other device settings, including PPPoE connection settings, IPTV, and ports. A hardware reset via the Reset button on Smart Box (Sagemcom) and Zyxel series routers may take different amounts of time to hold the button, from 5 to 15 seconds, depending on the modification. ResetIt's usually located on the back or bottom of the device's case. In most cases, it's recessed to prevent accidental activation, so a thin object, such as a paperclip or toothpick, is required to activate it.
The process is as follows: plug the router into a power outlet and wait for the boot process to complete (the indicators should stop flashing erratically). Find the hole marked Reset or RestoreGently press inward with a paperclip and hold for 10-15 seconds. At this point, the indicators may flash simultaneously or the router may begin to reboot.

To access the interface, you need to connect to the router via cable or Wi-Fi (if you still have access). Enter the device's IP address in the browser's address bar. For equipment Beeline this is most often 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1Some Smart Box models use a domain name. http://192.168.1.1 or http://smartbox.
After entering the address, the system will request authorization. Standard information is often found on a sticker on the bottom of the device: login admin and password admin (or a combination of numbers). Once in the menu, look for a section that might be called "System Tools," "Administration," or "Maintenance."
Inside the section, find the button Factory settings or ResetThe system will warn you that all changes will be lost. Confirm the action, and the router will reboot. This method is preferred, as it guarantees proper cleaning of the device's file system.

Actions after resetting your password
After a successful reset, the router will return to its original state. This means the wireless network will be open or protected by the default password found on the factory sticker. The network name (SSID) will also change to the factory default, for example, Beeline_WiFi_XXXX or SmartBox-XXXX.
The first step is to connect to this open network or the network with the factory key. Once the connection is established, the browser will automatically redirect you to the initial setup page (Master Config), unless disabled. Here, you'll be asked to select your language, time zone, and connection type.
Select the PPPoE connection type (most common with Beeline) and enter your contract details. Without this step, the internet won't work, even if the indicators are green. After entering your provider's username and password, the router will establish a connection to the server.

Next, the system will prompt you to configure your wireless network settings. Create a new, secure Wi-Fi password. It's recommended to use a combination of upper- and lower-case letters and numbers, at least 8 characters long. This will protect your network from unauthorized access by your neighbors.
What should I do if the settings page doesn't open?
If the setup page doesn't appear automatically after connecting to the router, try entering 192.168.1.1 manually in your browser. Make sure your computer's network card is set to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP). Clearing your browser cache or using incognito mode can sometimes help.
Setting up wireless network security
Once access is restored, it's critical to configure security correctly. Factory default passwords are often publicly available, and attackers know them by heart. In the Wi-Fi settings menu, find the section Security or Wireless Security.
